Deb is a graduate of the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts, has worked as a freelance graphic designer in Chicago, and is a founder of Gallery in the Garden. Her photography focuses on human artifacts that are remnants of lives that have moved on, although she also photographs ephemeral natural phenomena – such as the frost patterns on her studio window.
In addition to her photography, Deb creates personal ceremonial art using a combination of painting, constructions, and found objects. In particular, she creates personal
altars and boxes to commemorate life passages.
Deb has worked for many years in crisis intervention and is currently working for Turning Point.
