I am Gabi Sparacio. I presently reside in Ringwood with my husband, Scott, and two children, Tyler and Meaghan.

After years of admiring pottery that my aunt and uncle produced in the 1980’s, with encouragement from my husband, I decided to take a pottery class at MCC the spring of 2005. Amazingly, I really enjoyed it.

My focus tends to gravitate to the potter’s wheel, where I have been influence by Japanese pottery. I lean towards producing work with clean lines and simple decoration.

I presently take the Asian outlook of “one of a kind” work, with pottery that does not worry as much about symmetry or a perfect finish, and more about the artistic appreciation of the piece. I have learned that each person has a different taste as to that they find eye-catching.
