Gale Trausch has been drawing and painting in many media for over 45 years. She earned her B.S. and M.A. from NIU and recently retired from teaching art after 28+ years. Gale loves to
paint on canvas, draw on paper as well as paint on walls and brick! Nature ('Natural Expression') has always been the main focus for her work whether landscapes, close-ups, floral painting, animals, insects, birds or sea life. Gale studied scientific illustration at The Field Museum for several years with the well known professor, Mr. Yale Factor and she still appreciates abstract images as well. Recent trips to Ireland, Tuscany and Cape Cod have strengthened her skill in observation of the landscape as well as looking more closely at the small but beautiful subjects in our world.
